Laws. Everywhere we turn they surround us. Natural laws, spiritual laws,
laws of science, laws of nature, political laws, social laws, even traffic laws - and the list goes on. Amid all these
laws, some laws supersede other laws - lower laws must submit to the higher laws - gravity gives way to the laws of lift,
and natural law gives way to spiritual law.
Often some kind of action is required to engage the higher law and
subsequently be able to overcome the lower law. That is precisely the subject we are about to explore - learning how
to answer to the Highest Order.
Proverbs 19.21 says that "there are many plans in a man's
heart, but the Lord's purposes will prevail."
God's order is
higher than any other order - His law supersedes all other laws. Our responsibility is to make sure we answer
to His order - making every area of our life to fit His Word. Answering to the Highest Order is a
command that embraces every sphere of life.
Flesh vs. Spirit------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"For
the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." - Romans 8.2
The
law of sin and death is the atmosphere that surrounds us in the world every day. However, there is a law that supersedes
sin and death - it is the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.
Sin and death are the incumbent, resident law of
this earth. But it is an inferior law and can be superseded by the higher law of the Spirit of Life.
Romans 8.1 (AMP)
states that "[there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who
live and walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit."
The law
of the Spirit of Life is activated by saying "no" to the flesh and "yes" to the spirit.
Every time
you choose to obey the spirit instead of yielding to the dictates of your flesh, you are answering to the Highest Order.
When you tell your flesh "no" and make the decision to live by the spirit and do what God says, you are activating
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus which makes you free from the tyranny of sin and death in your life.
Sickness
vs. Healing----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"He
personally bore our sins in His own body on the tree [as an altar and offered Himself on it] that we might die (cease to exist)
to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed." - I Peter 2.24
(AMP)
Sickness is a by-product or sub-law of the law of sin and death. So naturally it is also an
inferior law to the law of the Spirit of Life. Since we understand from I Peter 2.24 that Jesus personally bore our
sin and sickness in His own body and that by His wounds we have already been healed, then we should lay hold of the
law of healing.
The law of healing and divine health supersedes the law of sickness and disease. Whenever sickness
launches an attack on us, we have a responsibility to answer to the higher law by embracing the law of healing.
We must deny sickness and disease the right to remain at any time in our body - allowing the law of the Spirit of life to
run its full course in us. Our healed, whole bodies honour God and honour the price that Jesus paid for our deliverance.
Lack
vs. Abundance----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Therefore
you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. For the Lord your God is bringing
you into a good land... a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which YOU WILL LACK
NOTHING." - Deuteronomy 8.6-7,9
A good land in which you will lack nothing
- that is what God has provided for His children. He intended for us to live always according to the Law of Abundance.
But what activates that law? In Deuteronomy 8.6-9, it says that when we keep the commandments, walk in His
ways, and fear Him, we will dwell in the good land and lack nothing.
Psalm 34.9-10 tells us - "Oh,
FEAR THE LORD, you His saints! There is NO WANT to those who FEAR HIM. The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
but those who SEEK THE LORD shall NOT LACK ANY GOOD THING."
There is no want or lack to those who fear
Him. Those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing. Jesus said that when we seek first the Kingdom
of God and His way of doing and being right, everything we need will be added to us. [Matt. 6.33]
When we seek
Him, seek His ways, and reverently and worshipfully fear Him, we will lack nothing. The reason why is because He is
the source of our supply, and when we seek Him and seek His ways, we are connecting ourselves to that divine supply.
Hebrews
11.6 says that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. But it also says that when you seek Him,
it must be in faith.
We have to engage faith when we seek Him. God's promises for provision and abundance
have to be mixed with faith, as Hebrews 4.2 states - "For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but
the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it."
The laws of
abundance, as with any spiritual law, must be mixed with faith in order for it to be activated in our life.
We have
to believe and steep the whole of our attention in the absolute reality of abundance that God has promised to those who seek
Him and seek His ways.
Abundance is a higher law than the lack that fills this world around us. As we choose to
activate that law - we are answering to the Highest Order.
Failure vs. Fulfillment--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"For
the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint.
Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day."
- Habakkuk 2.3 AMP
Sometimes along the way after we have received a word from the Lord for our lives, there
may be something that occurs that is the exact opposite of what God promised and it makes His word to us look as if there
is no way that it could possibly ever come to pass.
In such a time, usually you are either tempted to question God and
the validity of what He has promised or you are tempted to question your own ability to hear from God. Yielding to either
of those temptations leads only to one place: failure.
The enemy's target is to try to get you to give up on
God's Word to you and give up on His plan for your life.
It may seem right now that failure surrounds you at every turn
- but it doesn't have to stay that way. There is a Higher Order. The only question is - will
we answer to that Higher Order?
Yes, in light of what may have happened in the past, or is happening in your life
right now, it may look utterly impossible for the vision God gave you to be fulfilled. But there is a higher law
and if you will answer to it, you will see the fulfillment of His vision in your life.
Habakkuk 2.3 AMP says
that the vision God gives "will not deceive or disappoint." Even if it seems slow (or impossible) in coming
- wait earnestly for it - because it will surely come. And it won't be behindhand on its appointed day.
What God has said is so and it will come to pass.
The way we answer to the highest order for
His plan (vision) for our life is to BELIEVE.
Faith doesn't look at what is seen - faith looks at
what is unseen (the vision, the promise of God). [II Cor. 4.18]
No matter how "permanent" what is
going on now appears to be - it is only temporary, and it's subject to change.
What God has said is eternal.
His purposes will ultimately prevail. The plans of His heart cannot be restrained. Our doubt of what He's
promised is the only thing that can block His plan from fulfillment in our life.
Whatever you're facing today, remember
that there is a higher law than what you are presently experiencing.
IT'S NOT OVER. God's not
finished yet. With Him nothing is ever impossible, and no word from God shall be without power or impossible
of fulfillment. (Luke 1.37 AMP)
He's not given up on His plan for your life - so why should you? Don't stop believing
until what He has said to you is fulfilled. Don't settle for less than what He's promised.
In every area of your
life and in every situation, remember that there is always a higher law.
